It's Time to Share My Why

It has taken me a long time to share my personal journey, and I still find it pretty difficult to speak about.

However, it is these early experiences, including my experiences with Domestic Violence as a child, that have shaped who I am as a person.

These experiences are also the very foundation of my WHY. They are the driving force behind WHY I went into business almost 22 years ago, WHY I created Bookwiz Academy, and WHY I am so passionate about helping others gain control of their lives and achieve financial freedom. 

And I've come to realise that I don't feel that I can authentically deliver on my WHY, and truly advocate the importance of women achieving financial independence, without sharing my own story.

So, it was very fitting that Rob Marshall and The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers invited me to be part of their latest 'Heart of the Bookkeeper' to do exactly that - share my story.

You see, I know first hand what it's like to find yourself in a situation with limited (or no) financial freedom. I know what it is like to feel like you have no voice. No options. And what it is like to start again with nothing. I've been there...twice.

This is why I am so passionate about helping people, particularly women, take control of their financial narrative so that they can have a voice, have options, and be free to live their lives on their own terms.

And to always remember that...

- It's ok to want more.
- It's ok to go through something tough and come out the other side.
- It's ok to know your worth.
- It's ok to not settle for anything less than what you truly deserve.
- And, it's ok to be proud of everything you achieve along the way, no matter how small it seems at the time (or how small it may seem to others).

By sharing my story I'm hoping that it will provide hope to those who have been through tough times, or are facing challenges right now, and prove that You CAN come out the other side, and you CAN have a fabulous life!
