Founder Martine Hoosen Named a Finalist in Inaugural LUCA Awards
Oct 25, 2024Academy Founder Martine Hoosen has been named as a finalist across three categories for the inaugural Institute of Certified Bookkeepers' (ICB) LUCA Awards.
Dubbed the Oscars of the bookkeeping industry, the annual Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the bookkeeping profession, with 2024 marking the introduction of the global awards to Australia.
Martine was nominated, and has been named a finalist in three categories, with the winners being announced at the LUCA Awards Dinner on November 11 at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre, as part of ICB's Australian Bookkeepers Summit.
On being named a finalist, Martine shared,
"I'm really looking forward to attending the inaugural ICB LUCA Awards, and of course incredibly proud to have been nominated and named as a finalist across three award categories.
The bookkeeping industry is so dynamic and it's important that we can connect, engage, celebrate and support each other through events like this - particular when it includes introducing a global, industry-leading awards event like the LUCAs to our shores."
Those three categories include:
- Finalist - Service to Bookkeeping
- Finalist - Professional Bookkeeper of the Year - Practice Owner
- Finalist - Large Professional Bookkeeping Practice of the Year
